hey,
this is a gripping piece.. ive been lookin at it for over 2 mins now and i still cant find the perfect eye .. the twister is just darned concentric..
only goes to say this is done very well..
goes back to tracing the "eye"
and if i dint say this...very creative..
psst btw i hope this comment is "ur wise-ass( with no offence)journal wise" satisfactory.. imho i think your journal is descriptive to the core depth of truth.. and erm.. i choose not to disclose why i comment on your journal here.. (prolly im just cashing time)
Anh...I think the black line is symbolic of the temporary nature of beauty.... think about it- the swirling vortex thingy is gorgeous- soft, beautiful, ethereal rays of light- dancing, swaying ...all harmoniously entwined to form something almost feminine in nature and unquestionably beautiful....it has an air of mystery and quiet power...then we see a black bar....it starts to creep over it like the clouds across the sun for you see, something so beautiful was not meant for this world...not yet....we as humans, are incapable of comprehending the TRUE nature of something so well...beautiful...alas, only a select few of us are chosen for the honour of actually being ALLOWED to glimpse such a magnificent entity... for this we should feel truly honoured In closing...the "black bar" is not a flaw in your art, tis merely a reminder that all things are fleeting and we should treasure all the good memories and moments in time because that's what we'll remember when we're gone....that will be our legacy for future generations...otherwise, what's the point?!
Hehe. At first when I read your comment, I though, "this is a bit of an overkill... the black bar is simply an unfortunate flaw".
But, you remind me of something, something I usually talk about and stress upon (and you'll hear about it again).
Persian stitches. Quoted from a previous comment of mine:
Persian carpet makers, the best in the ancient world, always included a faulty stitch in their otherwise marvelous tapestries, to symbolize the imperfection of art. We all have persian stitches in our art, and we need to be reminded of that.
So this bar is my persian stitch here, and a rather blatant one at that.
Are you really on Prozac? Perhaps you could state in your signature: "comments powered by Prozac."
Oh and just so you know (or incase you haven't figured it out yet....I am the Queen of epic commentating! While I may not have ANYthing to say that is of value or that is even coherent....by golly I will exercise my right to do so!! *glares*
(in short, I am full of shit. thankyou and Goodnight. )
Bahahahahaha! I like it!.... "comments powered by Prozac."..... that is priceless!
I like the "Persian stitches" idea....wherever did you find it?? or perhaps it is of your own making??....hmmm...nevertheless, I like it, it's one of those rare pearls of wisdom one aquires over their years...best to hold onto it me thinks!
Oh and just for the record: I am not on prozac.
I am simply what happens when you mix insomnia with late night infomercials starring Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley.....
and as for the blatanticity (like my new word??) of ur "artisitic flaw"....I say, if you're gonna do something wrong- Do it BIG and do it with style....!!
Pretty colours ^^
Don't you hate it when your icons clutter takes away from the picture? I hate that. I keep my icons down to a minimum and always arrange them so they don't interfere with the picture ^^
Why did you take yourself out?? Thats a bummer.. it made it personal. But i guess now you can focus on the swirls.. what a dilemma!!
Still, those swirls rock!
